Pride and Prejudice with pop songs leads Merrigong's 2026 season

Merrigong Theatre Company has lifted the curtain on its 2026 program, with artistic director Simon Hinton promising 'a season that opens its arms to the city.'

The line-up includes the Australian premiere of Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of), the touring Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, a new commission from local writer Bev Killick and a return season of one-woman hit My Brilliant Career.

The company will also continue its MERRIGONGX artist development program, with three works-in-progress receiving public showings at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and the Town Hall.

Subscriptions opened this week, with the company saying early bookings for the spring slate were already running ahead of the same point last year.
