A city in transformation: Invest Wollongong launches 2026 Prospectus

Invest Wollongong has used the Property Council's Illawarra Outlook to release its 2026 prospectus, pitching the region as having 'the benefits of a metropolitan centre without the big-city complications'.

The 2026 Wollongong Investment Prospectus profiles more than $5 billion of committed and planned investment across the LGA, including health, defence, clean energy and housing projects.

The document, jointly produced by Wollongong City Council, the University of Wollongong and the NSW Government, identifies advanced manufacturing and the offshore wind supply chain as the city's strongest growth pillars.

Lord Mayor Tania Brown said the prospectus presented 'a confident and grown-up' picture of where the city was heading, while accepting that affordability and infrastructure would be the defining tests of the decade.

A digital version of the prospectus is now available on the Invest Wollongong website, with hard copies being distributed to investors in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore.
