'I'm really sorry about that': Premier's apology for South Coast train changes
Premier Chris Minns has apologised to Illawarra commuters for the disruption caused by the rollout of the new Mariyung intercity fleet, conceding the changes had been 'inconvenient' for many.

Speaking at a community cabinet event in Kiama on Tuesday night, Mr Minns acknowledged growing frustration with timetable and service changes on the South Coast line.
Long-suffering travellers had hoped the new trains would deliver faster trips to Sydney. Instead, commuters say travel times have barely shifted in 50 years, with some services running longer than the previous fleet.
Local MPs have backed calls for an independent review, pointing to 122,000 monthly journeys between the Illawarra and the new Western Sydney Airport that they say justify a rethink of the timetable.
Transport for NSW has promised a 'targeted adjustment' to the weekday morning peak from August, but stopped short of restoring the express services scrapped last year.
